Your personal security code (PSC) is a 4-digit code used
with your Student ID. You use it to access your financial aid awards, academic
history and DARS (degree audit) report. Only you have access to your PSC. If you
have a social security number, then your PSC is the last four digits of your social
security number; if you do not have a social security number (for example, international
students do not have one), then your psc is the last four digits of your student
ID number. If your SSN was not on your admission application, your PSC is the
last four digits of your Student ID.
Any student who has attended UT (Knoxville) Fall 1988 Semester
or later has a PSC on the student record system. It is not possible to assign
a PSC if you do not already have one.

How do I get my Personal Security Code?
If you have never changed your PSC, it defaults to the last
four digits of your social security number or student id number.
There are several ways to obtain your PSC:
In Person
To receive your PSC in person, you must present a photo ID.
Visit the University Registrar's Information Center, 209 Student Services
Building. (The Student Services Building is located at Circle Park.)
