If you completed a USPS Change of Address form prior to shipment your diploma should arrive at your new address in 2 to 3 weeks.  If your diploma is returned to the Office of the University Registrar we will contact you at your UTK email.  If your diploma is lost due to the change of address you will be required to submit a request for a replacement at the cost of $25.

The diploma and transcript will show your official graduation honors, which is based on your cumulative average at the end of your graduation term. More information about honors categories can be found here.

The honors category shown in the commencement program is unofficial and is based on a student’s cumulative average at the end of the term prior to the graduation term; therefore, the honors category in the commencement program may differ from the official graduation honors category that appears on the student’s diploma and transcript once final grades are submitted.

Instructions on how to upload your CeDiploma to LinkedIn can be found here.

Additional or replacement diplomas cost $25 and can be ordered here.  You must wait until after you receive your original diploma before submitting a request for any additional copy or replacement.

The UT Board of Trustees set guidelines for all diplomas issued by any UT campus beginning Fall 2022.  As of Fall 2022, all additional or replacement diplomas must follow these newly established guidelines (including diploma dimensions) regardless of when the degree was originally awarded.  More information about these guidelines can be found here.

If you have an unresolved financial obligation with the university your diploma will not be ordered.  You will be contacted at your UTK email approximately 4 weeks after the end of the term if your diploma was not ordered.  Once you resolve any financial obligation you must contact diplomas@utk.edu so that we can confirm the financial hold has been lifted and submit the order for your diploma.

Please email diplomas@utk.edu for detailed instructions about this process. This process can take up to 6 to 8 weeks to complete once initiated.
